JUNIOR (2000)
Played in seven games, all starts, before sustaining a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee against Missouri ... the injury snapped his string of 21 consecutive starts ... named the team's Most Outstanding Tight End ... registered at least one catch in all seven games before the injury ... tied his career-high with 17 receptions for a career-best 199 yards ... had his best game as a Longhorn when he set career single-game highs for receptions (six) and receiving yards (102) at Colorado ... he became only the fourth TE in school history to surpass 100 receiving yards in a game and the first since Kerry Cash had 104 yards at Texas Tech in 1990 ... named UT's Offensive Player of the Week following his effort against the Buffs ... hauled in three passes for 36 yards at Stanford ... added three catches for 23 yards against No. 10 Oklahoma ... caught a pair of passes for 13 yards against Oklahoma State.

Started all 14 games, including the Cotton Bowl, at tight end ... tabbed UT's Outstanding Tight End ... caught at least one pass in 11 of 14 games ... finished fifth on the team in receptions (17) ... recorded two touchdowns on the season, including the game-winner vs. No. 3 Nebraska ... broke three tackles on the 17-yard TD reception vs. the Huskers ... hauled in his first career TD on a career-long 28-yard catch at Rutgers ... posted a season-high three receptions (14 receiving yards) vs. North Carolina State ... matched that effort vs. No. 13 Kansas State (17 yards) ... posted a season-high 34 receiving yards (on two receptions) vs. Rice ... also had a 27-yard reception vs. Stanford ... caught two passes for 21 yards in the Cotton Bowl ... returned to TE in the spring after spending the second half of 1998 at defensive end.
