• Texas leads the all-time series with Rice, 135-59. The Owls are UT's third-most common opponent and will meet for the 195th time on Saturday. Texas has won 14 of the last 15 games against Rice, including a 6-0 mark in the Rick Barnes era.
• UT leads the NCAA in FG percentage defense (.338) and 3-point FG percentage defense (.230). The Longhorns hold opponents to an average of 59.7 ppg.
• Texas ranks second in the Big 12 in blocked shots (6.2 bpg). The Horns have posted a 74-34 advantage in blocked shots against its opponents this year.

• Freshman center Cameron Ridley ranks third in the Big 12 in blocks (2.1 bpg) while averaging just 20.1 minutes per game.
