• Texas will play its first true road game on Saturday in East Lansing, marking the eighth meeting between Texas and Michigan State. UT leads the all-time series 4-3 and have won two consecutive.
• Texas ranks second in the NCAA in FG percentage defense (.330), holding opponents to an average of 59.0 ppg and a 23.3 percent clip from 3-point range (50-of-215).
• Texas ranks second in the Big 12 in blocked shots (6.5 bpg). The Horns have posted a 71-32 advantage in blocked shots against its opponents this year.
• Sophomore guard Sheldon McClellan leads the team in scoring (15.5 ppg) and is shooting 86.1% (62-72) from the FT line. McClellan has reached double figures in scoring in each of UT's first 11 contests this year.

• Freshman center Cameron Ridley ranks third in the Big 12 in blocks (2.3 bpg) while averaging 20.3 minutes per game.
• Freshman forward Ioannis Papapetrou recorded his first career double-double against North Carolina on Wednesday (10 points and 10 rebounds).
