Hello Longhorns fans,

Checking in from Arlington. We have the blessing of playing in the first basketball game ever at Cowboys Stadium tomorrow when we play No. 10 North Carolina. If you weren’t lucky enough to get a ticket or can’t be in Arlington, we’ll be on ESPN at 1 p.m. Central.

The team bussed up to Dallas yesterday. I couldn’t tell you want the movie was for the trip, because I checked out quick. Just got off a busy time with final exams, so I was dead tired and ready for some sleep.

We ate a team dinner at the Capital Grille in Dallas last night. It is really fun to eat at a nice restaurant and hear everyone tell stories. A lot of the guys on the team think they are funny. Some of them even are. As far as the meal, I had the filet mignon, which was the real deal.

If you’ve never been to Cowboys Stadium, all I can say is the place is beautiful. We had practice there this afternoon. We were honored to be the first team to ever get a chance to shoot on the court which was just put down for the first time. The court was dead in a couple spots, but I’m sure they’ll get that fixed in time for the game.

Personally, I’m excited to play in Arlington. I grew up in Arlington and it’s where I became a Texas fan. Hopefully there will some familiar faces in the stands who come out to watch me play.

As a whole, the team is looking forward to the chance to play against North Carolina. This is the big-time game you dream of playing in when you’re a kid on the courts. We’re excited to play the game.

We have a four-day span coming up with games against the Tar Heels and Michigan State. It is the type of competition we would face at a regional final or in the Final Four, so it’s a good time to measure where we are and what we need to improve on.

Well, we are off for a meal and a film session. If we don’t see you at the game tomorrow, be sure to come out to the Erwin Center on Tuesday (Dec. 22) for our game against the Spartans.
