Wednesday's contest marks the eighth meeting between Texas and North Carolina. It is the second game of a four-year home-and-home series between the two programs. UT has won four of the last five contests against the Tar Heels and holds a 4-3 in the series that dates back to the 1992-93 season.
Since arriving at Texas in 1998, Rick Barnes is 3-1 against North Carolina.
The Longhorns have won 14 straight non-conference home games and have posted an 86-3 (.965) mark in non-conference home games since the start of the 2002-03 season.

Sheldon McClellan leads the team in scoring (15.3 ppg) and is shooting 88.1% (52-59) from the FT line.
Jonathan Holmes leads the team in rebounds (8.0 rpg) after recording his first career double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds) against Texas State on Saturday.
In the last two games, Javan Felix is averaging 16.5 ppg, including a career-high 20 points on Saturday vs. Texas State. Felix ranks second in the Big 12 in assists (5.8 apg).
