Men's Basketball adds pair of walk-ons to roster

AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas men's basketball team has added a pair of walk-ons to its 2004-05 roster, head coach Rick Barnes announced today. Senior guard Adam Gracely (Houston, Texas) and junior forward Chris Price (Houston, Texas) will be in uniform for tomorrow's exhibition contest against Lenoir-Rhyne.

Gracely (5-9, 150) served as a student manager for the Longhorns in each of the last three seasons. He was a three-year letterwinner at St. John's High School under head coach Mark Reed. Gracely was the starting point guard as a senior and earned his team's Most Improved Player award.

Price (6-6, 230) was discovered by the Texas coaching staff at last year's exhibition contest against EA Sports All-Stars. Price, who won a contest among UT students for the right to suit up for the All-Stars, scored six points (3-of-3 FG) in the game's final two minutes. He played one season (senior year) at Clear Brook High School for head coach Willie Schacherl.

No. 16 Texas opens its exhibition season against Division II Lenoir-Rhyne on Tuesday, Nov. 9. Tip is set for 7 p.m. at the Frank Erwin Center.
