Regional round pairings for Coaches vs. Cancer Classic announced

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Regional Round pairings for the 2010 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic are officially set, the Gazelle Group announced Wednesday. Texas, Pittsburgh, Maryland and Illinois will serve as the four regional hosts for the 16th annual tournament.
Each institution will host two Regional Round games before heading to New York's Madison Square Garden for the Championship Rounds on Nov. 18-19.
In the Austin Regional, UT will host Navy on Monday, Nov. 8. The Longhorns will then host Louisiana Tech on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Tip times and television plans for both games will be announced at a later date.
The matchups for the Championship Rounds at Madison Square Garden will be announced at a later date, as will game times and television information.
The Coaches vs. Cancer program, a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), exists to leverage the strength, community leadership and celebrity status of the nation's basketball coaches in an effort to raise awareness and reduce cancer risk through education programs while raising funds for the American Cancer Society's vision of a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Since 1995, the event has raise more than $4.5 million for the benefit of Coaches vs. Cancer.
