Hey Longhorns fans,

At this point in the season, it's always exciting for everybody. To this point, I think we've started to play a little better basketball. We're coming off a loss to a really good Kansas team, but I think we're all confident heading into this Big 12 Tournament, and we know we can do good things.

Kansas is always the hardest place to play on the road, and for most of the game we were in it with them and kept the crowd out of it. Give them credit, though, they're a tough team and fought back. I think what we took out of that is being able to play well away from home. We were right there and if we had done a few things differently, the game could have gone the other way.

Now that we're here, we just want to make sure we play hard. I always know that if we play hard and play defense, we'll have a chance to win every time we play. That's one thing we're focusing on - limiting our mistakes and just executing our game plan. Colorado gave us a really tough game earlier in the year, and we came out on top in overtime, but we know they're a dangerous team. We just need to be able bear down and make a run here. A Big 12 Championship would really mean a lot to us.

Right now, we just got to the Ford Center. They have all of the locker rooms for the Big 12 teams, and ours was at the very end from where we came in, but when we walked in, we realized we were in the Thunder's locker room. They move the locker rooms around, so we might only have it today, but still, the first thing you see when you walk in is K.D.'s (Kevin Durant's) locker. It's crazy that two years ago we were here in this building and playing with Kevin. Now we're sitting at his NBA locker. It just shows how fast everything goes by.

Oklahoma City is a great city to have this tournament in, and I'm excited to get it underway. We've only been here since last night, so everything's been pretty casual. We sat around and watched a couple of games. We watched the Gonzaga game and the Siena game, but we're just trying to stay relaxed, which will help us be able to focus on what we want to do here.

It starts tomorrow, and we're ready.

Hook 'em
Justin
