• Saturday’s contest marks the 25th meeting between Texas and Kansas State. The Wildcats hold a 14-10 lead in the all-time series. Texas is 6-5 against K-State at home and 9-8 against Kansas State in the Rick Barnes era.
• UT owns a 30-16 (.666) mark against AP Top 25 opponents under Rick Barnes at the Erwin Center. No. 13/13 Kansas State will be the fourth ranked team UT has faced at the Erwin Center this season.
• Through Feb. 17, Texas ranks third in the nation in FG percentage defense (.365) and first in 3-point FG percentage defense (.267).
• Sophomore guard Myck Kabongo made his season debut against Iowa State (2/13) after sitting out the first 23 games due to a NCAA suspension. Since his return, he is averaging a team-best 12.7 ppg and 4.7 apg in 37.3 mpg while reaching double figures in scoring in all three contests.
