Concerning Men's Basketball vs. Texas Tech broadcast (Feb. 20)
From the Big 12 Conference: Concerning last night's telecast of Texas Longhorns men’s basketball vs. Texas Tech game, it appears that a communications breakdown between the Austin-San Antonio station affiliate KCNS-TV and Time Warner Cable resulted in the game not being aired until halftime. UT Athletics officials acted as soon as they became aware of the problem, and the game telecast was restored to the cable channel it was intended to be on as quickly as possible. ESPN Regional TV/Big 12 TV Network, the Big 12 Conference and UT Athletics are making every possible effort to see that this communications failure between the station and cable company does not occur again.
