• Starters: Demarcus Holland, Javan Felix, Jon Holmes, Julien Lewis, Prince Ibeh started for the second consecutive game. Coach Rick Barnes has used four different starting lineups in seven games this season.
• Series: Texas leads the all-time series with UT Arlington 8-0, including a 7-0 mark during the Rick Barnes era. Texas improves to 122-17 against schools from Texas during the Barnes era.
• 3-point FG: Texas set a season high in 3-point FGs made (13) and attempted (26).
• Assist-to-Turnover: Texas recorded 18 assists and 16 turnovers. It is the first positive assist-to-turnover margin this season. UTA recorded eight assists and 19 turnovers.
• Offensive improvement: Texas shot 45.1 percent from the field (23-of-51). Entering Saturday, UTA held opponents to an NCAA-leading 31.6 percent FG percentage.
• FG defense: Texas held UTA to 29.5 percent shooting (18-of-61). The Longhorns have limited all seven opponents this season to under 40 percent shooting.
• Off the bench: Texas out-scored UTA in bench scoring, 43-to-23. The +20 bench-scoring margin is a season high for the Longhorns - previous was +13 against Mississippi State (11/21).
• Julien Lewis set a career high in 3-point FGs made (6). He led the Longhorns in scoring for the second time this season with a season-high 18 points. Lewis has reached double figures in scoring five times this season and 15 times in his career.
• Ioannis Papapetrou set a career high in points (17)
• Javan Felix tied a season high in assists (9) and tied a season low in turnovers (2).
• Cameron Ridley came off the bench to set a career high in minutes played (23).
• Sheldon McClellan reached double-figure scoring (14 points) for the seventh time this season and the 27th time during his career (40 games). For the fourth game this season, McClellan did not miss a free throw (4-of-4) and is now shooting 91.1 percent from the charity stripe.
