Baseball ranked No. 21 by Collegiate Baseball in 2013 pre-season poll

AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Baseball team has been ranked No. 21 in the nation by Collegiate Baseball in its 2013 pre-season poll released today. The Longhorns, who finished last year with a 30-22 record, return key position players Erich Weiss (.350, 5 HR, 38 RBI in 2012), Mark Payton (.322-5-29) and Jacob Felts (.282-0-21), as well as key pitchers Corey Knebel (4-5, 2.08 ERA, nine saves), Parker French (6-2, 2.84 ERA, two saves) and Nathan Thornhill (4-5, 3.87 ERA). Texas opens the 2013 regular season on Feb. 15 with the start of a three-game series against Sacramento State.
