AUSTIN, Texas - University of Texas Baseball junior infielder Christian Summers has elected to transfer prior to the start of the upcoming 2013 season. Summers appeared in 14 games last season, making nine starts. He batted .100 (2-for-20) with five runs scored, one triple, one stolen base and one RBI.

The Longhorns begin the 2013 season on Feb. 2 with the Alumni Game, starting at 2 p.m. at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
