2013 Baseball recruiting class ranked No. 7 in the nation by Baseball America

Baseball America has released its national recruiting rankings, placing Texas seventh in the nation for the upcoming 2013 season. The Longhorns have the highest class among Big 12 teams in the rankings that list the Top 25 teams in the nation. This is the 11th time in the last 13 years that Texas has earned a spot in Baseball America's "Dandy Dozen" list. Three Longhorns placed in BA's 500 list with infielder CJ Hinojosa being the top-ranked Texas player at No. 70 nationally. Right-handed pitcher Holden Helmink came in at No. 218 while right-handed pitcher Chad Hollingsworth was ranked No. 224. The class is comprised of nine freshmen and five junior college transfers. Texas will play its final Fall Ball scrimmage this Sunday against Texas State with a 1 p.m. start from UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The 14-inning scrimmage will be broadcast live on Longhorn Network.
