After getting saddled with the loss in UT’s 14-inning, 5-4 loss to Hawaii, Knebel has rebounded to post a 2-0 record with seven saves in the next 12 appearances. In the last 12 appearances, the northpaw has registered 23.1 scoreless innings, scattering eight hits and four walks while striking out 27 batters. Over that span he is limiting opposing hitters to a .107 batting average.
• Texas pitchers are bearing down against left-handed hitters holding them to a .196 (64-for-312) batting average on the season and just nine extra-base hits. Taylor Jungmann has held lefties to a .127 batting average (10-for-79) while Corey Knebel and Cole Green have them hitting just .140 (6-for-43) and .215 (14-for-65), respectively.
