The Horns are on pace to hit 61 home runs through a 54-game regular season and three Big 12 tournament games. The Longhorns have only reached the 60-homer plateu 10 times in school history and just five times since 1990 (1996, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2008).

• With his 32 career sacrifice bunts, Brandon Loy is tied with Travis Tucker (2007-09) for fifth place on the UT all-time list. The only players ahead of Loy on the all-time list are Tommy Nicholson (38 - 1998-2000), Nick Peoples (37 - 2004-07), Chance Wheeless (35 - 2004-07) and Preston Clark (33 - 2006-09).

• Longhorns starter Brandon Workman has been roughed up a bit in the first innings of games this season, but after that he has been nails. Workman owns a 9.00 ERA in the first inning, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five in 6.0 innings. He is allowing the opponent to hit at a .280 clip in the first inning.
