Baseball Fan Appreciation Day and Alumni Game set for January 28

AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 5 Texas baseball team will host its annual Fan Appreciation Day and Longhorn Alumni Game at UFCU Disch-Falk Field on Saturday, January 28. Gates will open at 10:30 am. Festivities include a game between the 2012 Longhorns and Texas alumni, a player autograph session, and a photo opportunity with Bevo. Fans are encouraged to bring their baseball gloves as they will have the chance to play catch in the outfield at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Season schedule posters and a limited number of UFCU logo baseballs will be available for autographs. Due to NCAA compliance issues, outside items may not be brought to the event. Any item provided by UT is for personal use only and is not intended for sale. A limited supply of free hotdogs and sodas will be available for fans. Admission to the event is free and there will be not charge for parking in lots surrounding UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Last season, the Longhorns earned a share of the Big 12 regular season title and advanced to their 34th College World Series appearance. This year, they return five positional starters and two starting pitchers. The Horns open the season on Feb. 17 with a three-game series against the Duke Blue Devils at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
