• Tabbed Third Team Class 4A All-State by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association and the Texas Sports Writers Association and District 25-4A Most Valuable Player as a senior, batting .435 with eight home runs as a senior.
• Named the No. 45 Draft Prospect by ESPN.com's Keith Law in September 2008.
• Played with the Texas Rangers Area Code Team in 2008.
• Named one of the top 10 hitting prospects at the 2008 Area Code Games by Baseball America.
• Hit .369 with four home runs and 27 RBI as a junior.
• Named first-team All-District 25-4A as an oufielder in 2008.
• Earned second-team Class 5A All-State honors as a sophomore in 2007.
• Garnered first-team all-district honors in 2007 and second-team in 2006.
• Also earned two letters as a wide receiver for Coach Jeff Dicus' football squad.
• Caught 65 passes for 1,009 yards and 12 TDs catching passes from current Longhorns QB Garrett Gilbert as a junior in 2007.
• Named second-team All-CenTex and was a part of Lake Travis' State Championship team in 2007.
• Drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 43rd round of the 2009 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
