· Earned three letters as an outfielder for Coach Danny Wallace at Georgetown (Texas) High School.
· Set school records for runs (46) and stolen bases (29) as a senior, while sporting a .582 on-base percentage.
· Earned third-team Class 5A All-State from the Texas Sports Writers Association as a senior
· Ranked as the No. 20 recruit in the state on Inside Prep Baseball's 2008 Texas Top 25 list.
