· A four-year letterwinner and two-year captain as a second baseman, shortstop and third baseman for Coach Russell Houston at McCallum High School in Austin, Texas.
· Batted .505 with 48 runs, 48 hits, 15 doubles, one triple, three home runs and 24 RBI to earn second-team Class 4A All-State honors from the Texas Sports Writers Association as a senior.
· Selected to the Round Rock Express All-Star team and Rawlings All-Star team as a senior.
· Played in the 2008 Austin Area Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game.
· Three-time All-CenTex selection.
· Batted .442 with 39 runs, 38 hits, eight doubles, two triples, two home runs and 29 RBI to earn all-district 2B as a junior.
· Hit .376 with 30 runs, 32 hits, five doubles, one home run and 14 RBI to earn all-district SS as a sophomore.
· Batted .355 with 27 runs, 38 hits, three doubles, one triple and 16 RBI to earn all-district 2B as a freshman.
