Retired both batters he faced, striking out one against UTSA (3/8).
Pitched a scoreless 3.1 innings in his first start of the season, allowing only one hit and three walks while striking out three against Texas State (3/15).
Recorded a combined 2.2 innings of scoreless relief with a strikeout in back-to-back appearances against Kansas State (3/19-3/22).

A four-year varsity letterwinner as pitcher and first baseman for Coach Cody Robbins at Nederland (Texas) High School.
Logged an 8-2 record with two saves, pitching 51 innings with 98 strikeouts and hit .412, producing 18 RBI's, two home runs, 28 hits and seven doubles as a senior.
Earned all-district as a first baseman all four years and as a pitcher during his junior and senior campaigns.
