Frequently Asked Questions
:

What is Stampede?
Stampede is a membership group that exists to support men's and women's basketball. Stampede members already have the Longhorn All-Sports Package (LASP). Stampede members join by paying a very nominal additional cost on top of their already-paid for LASP for Stampede benefits. The #1 benefit is easy access on game day to the Frank Erwin Center and first dibs on the best seats (lower level) in the O-Zone student sections at the Frank Erwin Center.

Why did Stampede form?
The universities with the best men's and women's basketball attendance have similar spirit groups. That includes groups associated with our big rivals in the Big 12 Conference (Kansas, Iowa State, Missouri) where demand for student basketball tickets and seats is very high.

How do I join Stampede?
The LASP opens the door to membership in Stampede. Once you have obtained the LASP, you may go online at TexasBoxOffice.com to register for Stampede. If you do not have the LASP, you may purchase one online during class registration, anytime on TexasBoxOffice.com, or at the Bellmont Hall Ticket Office.

Do seniors have priority over freshmen in seating/membership?
No. The Stampede is filled on a first-come, first serve basis.

Will the O-Zone go away?
No! The O-Zone is all the student seating in the Frank Erwin Center. Stampede is the spirit group that is gathered in a special section of the arena O-Zone seats. O-Zone seats are plentiful and should take care of all interested students for men's and women's basketball games. But the best O-Zone seats go to Stampede members.

The Horns' House is the 200-seat student section for the Texas Volleyball team. Located across from the team benches and within 15 feet of the court, The Horns' House allows students to be right on top of the action. This year the students will also receive Horns House t-shirts and balloons at selected games. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to make posters and paint their faces to support the team. Come out and enjoy the games and make Gregory Gymnasium the toughest place to play in the nation!

"Rock the Drum" lyrics and credits [Listen to "Rock the Drum"]

We're gonna run the floor tonight
Pass the rock around
Fly to the hoop
And jam the thunder down
When we beat the clock, hit the winning shot
From way-ay downtown
This Longhorn crowd will raise the roof
With that Austin, Texas sound

We've got the Up-Tempo scene
Love that hard-court fun
This is our Texas team
Let's rock the drum!

We'll be cheerin', and singin'
From the O-Zone seats to the Mez-zanine
This is our Texas team
Let's rock the drum!
