A Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 recruit … ranked eighth in the nation among incoming freshmen by prepvolleyball.com … was the Arizona state Gatorade Player of the Year … was named second-team all-region, then followed that up with first-team honors and region MVP accolades … was also the East Valley player of the year, as well as the Southeast Arizona player of the year … helped Gilbert win the 5-A state championship her senior year … her Gilbert team was four-year Fiesta League champions, and two-time Westwood tournament champs … recorded 473 kills and added 429 digs as a senior … earned All-America honors from prepvolleyball.com … a three-time member of the Westwood all-tournament team … also earned all-tournament honors at the Durango tournament … was named to the USA Volleyball junior national A2 team … her club team - Club Red - was based out of Mesa, Ariz., and was coached by Joe Hesse … Club Red finished 17th at nationals in 2002 … volunteer with the Gilbert police department as a D.A.R.E. role model … was nominated for homecoming queen by her classmates … also was a member of the yearbook club and the ecology club.
