In Rotation: What's your favorite movie quote?

Last week, freshman Jen Christian sort of took over the weekly In Rotation question and answer period at practice when she began commenting on everyone's selection of favorite television show. This week, TexasSports.com has turned the recorder over to her and we sent her out to pose the question, "What's your favorite movie quote?" to her teammates and to her add her own insightful comments to the conversation.

Jen Christian: Lauren Galler, what's your favorite movie quote?

Galler: "We're going streaking!" from Old School because that's the funniest movie ever!

Christian: So, you like to streak or something?

Galler: Yeah, that's it.

Christian: Bethany (Howden) yours?

Howden: "We've got no food …

Christian and Howden in unison: "…no jobs and our pets' heads are falling off." (from Dumb and Dumber.)

Christian: Do any of your pets' heads fall off? Is that why you like it?

Howden: Well, my pets' heads don't fall off, but I don't have a job.

Christian: Tea (Armstrong)?

Armstrong: "You're crazy, I like you but you're crazy." (Hank the Tank from Old School)

Jenny Andrew: Mine are, "Did you get the memo?" and "Why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam?" from Office Space. I could watch that movie all day. I know every word.

Christian: Awesome!

Jessica Curtis: My favorite movie quote comes from the original Home Alone movie when Uncle Frank says to Kevin, "Look what you did you little jerk!"

Christian: Always a comedy with Curtis! That's a good one.

Michelle Moriarty: I like the one from Tommy Boy. "A lot of people go to college for seven years…Yeah, they're called doctors."

Sarah Holloway: I can't say mine without laughing.

Howden: I'll say it for you!

Holloway: (Laughing already) … Streaker… I can't!

Howden: "Austria, eh? Throw another shrimp on the barbie!" from Dumb and Dumber.

(The group breaks into hysterical laughter.)

Christian: D (Dariam Acevedo), your favorite movie quote?

Acevedo: The one from Miracle.

Christian: Which one? The one where they go, "If you're not gonna work hard in the game, get off the line?"

Acevedo: No, the one in the beginning. "Tonight, I'm sick and tired of the Soviets" or something like that. It's long, I don't remember it.

Christian: Oh yeah … yeah. That's a good one. You gave a one D.

Christian: My favorite one is, again, from Tommy Boy. "You're driving along. You're driving along. And … (SCREECH). That was close! Now let's see what happens when you use the OTHER guy's break pad. You're driving along. You're driving along. All of a sudden, 'Dad, I have to go to the bathroom.' 'Not now, dang it! I can't stop!'" That's always a good one. We always used to say that one on our club team all the time! It's just classic. Tommy Boy has so many good quotes. It's just an all-around funny movie.

Acevedo: I agree.

Christian: From Old School … there is one that goes something like, "'We have a nice little Saturday coming up.' 'What are you gonna do?' 'We're gonna go to Home Depot and pick out some flooring. Maybe a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond.'" It goes on from there. I love that one.

Sarah Holloway: I love that one from Tommy Boy: "It doesn't hurt so much here or right here, but right in this region."

Christian: Good one. Another Tommy Boy quote. Classic.

Mira Topic: I don't really know if I have one.

Christian: Come on, you're All-American … on the court and off. You MUST have a favorite movie over here.

Topic: I don't remember movie quotes.

Christian: Well, how about from Friends. You like Friends. How about that quote that Joey always says, "How You doin?

Topic: Yeah. I like that one. That'll work for me …. Oh, wait … I like the one from Gone with the Wind …

Christian: Which one?

Topic: You know, when Scarlet says to Rhette, "Darling, I just don't give a [care]."

Christian: You can't say that! You have to be clean!

Topic: But it's the quote!

Magee: I love it when when Jessica (Curtis) is trying to imitate Miracle …

Lauren Slegde: From Forrest Gump when he said, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

Christian: Why? You like chocolate?

Sledge: Actually, yes.

Leticia Armstrong: My other favorite movie quote is from Remember the Titans: "I don't scratch my head unless it itches, and I don't dance unless I hear music," because it's true.

Christian: Alyson, say my favorite movie quote you do.

Alyson Jennings: Do I have to have a reason?

Christian: Because I said so.

Jennings: OK … my favorite movie quote is from .. wait, what's it from?

Christian: Finding Nemo

Jennings: OK … my favorite movie quote is from Finding Nemo: "Aww. You guys made me ink!"
