How important was the win at Baylor last week to the team as it tries to make a final push toward the postseason?
Elliott: "I think we're playing some very good volleyball right now and the win at Baylor was indicative of that.  We had a really great, five-game match at Nebraska last week (Nov. 12) and now we're starting to do some really good things with the lineup that we had prior to Brandy's (Magee) three-game leave.

"Our defense has been very solid of late and our offensive is getting back in gear.  Our players are comfortable with each other and we have great communication out on the court.  It was a small disappointment to lose at Nebraska after being so close to the win, but the win at Baylor was great to get back on a roll to close the season.  Hopefully, it will keep us in a solid rhythm and help propel us to four more wins."

As their career come to a close soon, what have the two seniors meant to this team?
Elliott: "Both Whitney (Garvens) and Kathryn (Wilson) have had big roles in our program, and they've been great in taking the role we've given them as their careers have progressed.

"We've asked Kathryn to play everywhere, from playing the middle to moving to the right side to playing some defense, then going back to the middle.  She's been thrown around the court quite a bit, but Kathyrn's done everything she needs to do to help this team win.  She's had a great career here.  She's played a significant amount of time and helped this program get back on the right track.

"Whitney has, for the first time in her career, had a significant role as a defensive player on our team.  In the last two weeks, she's really come around and we've begun to see a lot of great things from her.  We've very sad to see her graduate because she's been such a great leader on this team for several years.

"Both players have been wonderful assets to the program and they'll certainly be missed next year.

With two players leaving and four newcomers joining in the team, how will the Longhorns be different next year?
Elliott: "The four incoming freshmen we just signed will step in and help us immediately.  None of them are projects, but they will grow with time.  Add to that having Dariam (Acevedo) back for her first full season and getting Leticia (Armstrong) on the court after her redshirt year, we'll be a whole new team that will have a lot more options on the court, both offensively and defensively."
