UT Volleyball to be seen on television nine times in 2003
The Texas-Nebraska game is one of four that will air live on Wednesday nights on CSTV during the 2003 season. CSTV, in conjunction with the Big 12 Conference, also will broadcast: Colorado at Texas A&M on Sept. 24; Missouri at Kansas State on Oct. 8; and Missouri at Nebraska on Oct.15. Two tape-delayed matches have been set for CSTV's "Sunday Spike Night" (a weekly college volleyball series) involving the Big 12 Conference: Texas vs. Kansas State (Oct. 19) and Nebraska at Northern Iowa (Nov. 2). The Sunday Spike Night series begins airing on Sept. 7 and will run for 13 weeks ending on Nov. 23. CSTV can be found on Direct TV channel 610, or on the Dish Network by calling 1-800-333-DISH. Locally, seven additional Longhorn home matches will be broadcast on KVR, UT's student television station: vs. Nebraska (Saturday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m.); vs. Texas A&M (Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.); vs. Baylor (Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.); vs. Texas Tech (Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.); vs. Missouri (Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.); vs. Kansas (Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.); and vs. Oklahoma (Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.) KVR-TV is available on cable access in the city of Austin, and is also available on UT's campus. Texas continues its season on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 11-12 when the team hosts the Time Warner Cable Texas Invitational. The Longhorns welcome Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UT-Arlington and No. 9 UCLA to Gregory Gym for a round-robin tournament. UT will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday at 10 a.m., UT-Arlington at 7 p.m. and UCLA on Friday at 7 p.m. |
