Volleyball Begins Preseason

AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas volleyball team, under the direction of first-year head coach Jerritt Elliott, begins its two-a-day preseason practices on Friday, Aug. 10 at Gregory Gym on the UT campus.

"We are really excited to get going," said Elliott, who come to UT after leading Southern California to a 29-3 record and a NCAA Championship Semifinal (final four) showing last year. "The players bring a real burst of energy to the court, and everyone is looking forward to starting a new era of Texas Volleyball. We're looking to build on that energy to put a real exciting product on the floor this fall. Our returning players took accountability for training in the off -season and are coming back in great shape. I hope our fans will come out this preseason to get a glimpse of the team."
