Vice President

As vice president for institutional relations and legal affairs, Ohlendorf has executive responsibility for governmental relations, UT System relations, institutional compliance, legal affairs, intercollegiate athletics for men, intercollegiate athletics for women, the Erwin Center, and trademark licensing. She is the University’s chief governmental relations officer and chief legal and compliance officer. She has general responsibility for managing communications with the Board of Regents, The University of Texas System, state and local governmental and quasi-governmental entities, and federal governmental representatives and entities on issues of federal legislation or regulations. She provides guidance on formal internal processes and policies and has general responsibility for coordination of training and assessment processes to assure compliance with internal policies and external laws, regulations, and policies. She provides legal counsel to the president and oversees the provision of legal services for The University. She is the president’s liaison with the athletics councils and manages interfaces with the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.

Ohlendorf received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her doctor of jurisprudence degree from The University of Texas School of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and a number of local, state, and national professional organizations, and is active in a number of community organizations.

Ohlendorf resides in Austin with her husband, Curtis, and two sons, Ross (a Princeton University student) and Chad.
