• Former UT associate professor who started the UT women's golf program in 1969 as club coach; team earned varsity status in 1973
• Teams won seven SWC titles and finished in the top 10 nationally 11 times
• Coached 11 All-Americans, 21 all-conference players, four SWC players of the year, one National Player of the Year, three Honda-Broderick Award winners, one AIAW National Champion and one NCAA Tournament medalist
• Earned five conference Coach of the Year awards and was selected National Coach of the Year in 1987 and 1988
• Received the 1991 Gladys Palmer Award, the highest honor bestowed by the National Golf Coaches Association
• Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Arkansas
