• He finished his career as the Longhorns' career tight end record holder for receptions (80), receiving yards (1,106) and TD receptions (12).
• A two-time first-team Academic All-American and first-team Associated Press All-American in same season (1995-96).
• One of eight National Football Foundation Scholar Athletes in 1996
• Earned an NCAA postgraduate scholarship in 1996
• Earned a marketing degree from UT in 1996 and graduated from UT's law school in 2002.
