• Coached nine NCAA national event champions
• Coached 79 UT All-Americans (50 outdoor, 19 indoor, 10 cross country)
• 1988 U.S. Olympic track coach in Seoul, Korea
• Member of U.S. Track Coaches Hall of Fame and Indiana Sports Hall of Fame
