• Coached 10 NCAA outdoor and nine NCAA indoor individual event champions and four Olympians
• Teams won three NCAA indoor titles (1986, 1988 and 1990) and two outdoor (1982, 1986)
• 1986 cross country squad won NCAA team title
• NCAA 1986 indoor, outdoor and cross country crowns earned UT vaunted "Triple Crown"
• 1988 USA Olympic head women's track and field coach
• Became director of men's/women's track and field/cross country at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo in 1992
