Eight University of Texas basketball games - five men's and three women's - will be televised live on Longhorn Network during November. Beginning Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. Central, the No. 5 Stanford women will visit No. 25 Texas. The game - called by Rebecca Lobo and Andrew Monaco - will tip off the network's season-long coverage of 26 total basketball games.

Weekly coaches' shows, interviews with players and live pre- and post-game coverage from the Frank Erwin Center for select games will round out Longhorn Network coverage.

Additionally, starting Saturday, Nov. 12, the No. 9-ranked women's volleyball team will play three key Big 12 Conference matches, giving fans a late-season look at the team as it heads toward the post-season.

• 9 Big 12 match-ups

Rick Barnes, head men's basketball coach at Texas, said, "We urge all Texas Basketball fans, and really college basketball fans in general, to call your cable provider and ask that they carry Longhorn Network. Their behind-the-scenes look at our program should help our fans get to know our players and their individual personalities. More important, it will give everyone a much better understanding of what it means to be a part of the Texas Basketball program. It should provide great insight into how hard our guys work, both on and off the court, and the pride they have in representing The University of Texas."

Gail Goestenkors, head women's basketball coach at Texas, said, "We're so excited that our fans will have unprecedented access to Texas Women's Basketball this season. Longhorn Network provides an in-depth view of our program that makes fans of the game feel like they're on our bench, in our practices and truly a part of our program. Please continue to call your cable providers and encourage them to carry Longhorn Network."
