AUSTIN, Texas -- Age-old songs like "Texas Fight" and "The Eyes of Texas" will forever be linked with the Texas Longhorns, because they celebrate the traditions of the UT Athletics heritage.

Now, with the release of "Get Hooked," the Longhorns hope to expand their musical traditions.

"Get Hooked," is an 11-song CD of original, Longhorns-themed music. The compilation features an array of songs in varying musical styles, but they all honor UT's rich legacy. Song selections include, "Get Hooked," "Show Me Your Horns," and "Here Come the Longhorns," by Austin band Vallejo.

Songs from "Get Hooked," have already been played at home UT football games. The CD is available online at iTunes and Amazon.com, and physical copies of the album will be available later this month at Longhorns LTD stores on the UT campus, University Co-op stores throughout the state and area H-E-B locations.

The CD was developed and produced in partnership with music-branding agency Banshee Music.
