Scott & White becomes an official sponsor of UT Athletics
AUSTIN, Texas -- University of Texas Athletics officials today announced a five-year marketing and official corporate sponsorship agreement making the Temple-based Scott & White system an exclusive healthcare category advertiser supporting the Longhorns' 20-sport men's and women's athletics program.
"We are grateful for Scott & White commitment," said DeLoss Dodds, UT men's athletics director. "The organization is among the leaders in healthcare delivery for our growing central Texas community, and we are grateful for the support this sponsorship provides our athletics programs."
Host Communications, which operates the Longhorns Sports Network, manages the agreement as the multimedia rights representative of UT Athletics.
"Scott & White has always used a team approach to providing healthcare, so we are very excited to partner with UT Athletics," said Ernie Bovio, CEO of the Scott & White Hospital at University Medical Campus in Round Rock, which will open medical offices in October and the 72-bed hospital next spring.
The agreement will increase Scott & White's visibility among UT sports fans and the University's central Texas community with the system's logo on electronic videoboards and scoreboards at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and in the Frank Erwin Center. Scott & White messages also will appear in gameday publications, information packages, and on the TexasSports.com Web pages along with television and commercials appearing with the Longhorns Sports Network's statewide broadcasts and telecasts.
"We have been caring for Longhorns for ore than 100 years," Bovio said. "As we continue to increase our presence in the Austin area, we look forward to enhancing medical options for the entire community."
Along with its new University Medical Campus, Scott & White will add to its 14 regional clinics by opening new primary care locations soon in Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, Liberty Hill and Georgetown.
