AUSTIN, Texas -- Amy Folan, UT Associate Athletics Director for compliance, has been elected president of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) for the 2009-10 term. NAAC serves as the professional and educational association of athletics compliance professionals.

"I look forward to working with our officers and Board of Directors to help our association become a national voice on major compliance issues, and continue to be a resource for the NCAA and our membership," Folan said.

Folan, in her fifth year as associate athletics director at UT, takes over for Judy Van Horn, associate athletics director/senior women's administrator at Michigan. Van Horn served as the association's president since January 2008.
