University of Texas Facilities: Texas Rowing Center

Texas Rowing Center

The Texas Rowing Center is located on the north bank of Lady Bird Lake just west of Mopac Expressway. The lake provides six miles of calm water, while the Austin climate is conducive to year-round in-water training.

With a recent addition/renovation, the two-bay facility now totals 5,300 square feet. The renovation includes new locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers for the varsity and novice teams. The boathouse is outfitted with some of the finest equipment in the country, housing six Resolute racing eights, two Resolute racing fours, eight Hudson pair doubles, four Hudson racing singles and 40 ergometers for indoor training and testing.

Texas fans can view races from the footbridge beneath the Mopac Expressway on the banks of Lady Bird Lake. Parking is available on Veterans Street.

RACE DAY INFORMATION
