The importance of physical training is often overlooked in young female athletes. The adolescent years can be the most influential in developing girls into well rounded and healthy athletes. Young athletes who participate in sport performance training have fewer injuries during their athletic career.

The University of Texas would like to invite you to the third annual Lady Longhorn Sport Performance Camp. Our camp offers the most comprehensive training available in our state-of-the-art training facility, Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletic Center. Our strength and conditioning coaches are degreed, and hold national and internationally recognized certifications. Come learn from some of the most respected coaches in the industry.

What will be taught?
Our strength and conditioning coaches design highly specialized training using experience and scientific knowledge. They prepare sport specific training programs that are fun, effective, and challenging. We help female athletes of all sports improve strength, power, speed, agility, sport specific conditioning, and general fitness in a non-intimidating environment. We have the experience, knowledge, and facilities to help the athlete excel in a chosen sport while improving overall athletic ability.

All levels of athletes are encouraged to join and will be grouped according to skill level. We want our athletes to leave with a better understanding of how to use performance training to build healthier bodies.

Housing
The Lady Longhorn Sport Performance Camp is a day camp only and will not offer housing options. If an athlete is traveling from out of town the camp office may be contacted at 512-471-1703 for recommended hotel accommodations.

What to bring
Campers should arrive ready to workout. We recommend T-shirts, shorts, running shoes, athletic socks, sports bra, towel, water bottle, and sun screen. Each camper receives a camp T-shirt at the end of camp.

Parking
Parking is very limited for parents dropping off campers at Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletic Center (MNAC). Refer to the map on The University of Texas Web site. Parking in the Manor Garage directly across the street from MNAC is available and not subject to parking tickets.
